Sishuo: A Harmonious Blend of Art, Culture, and Nature

Designer Kewei Wang's Award-Winning Sales Office Design

The Sishuo project is an embodiment of tranquility and sophistication, drawing its inspiration from the serene Songshan Lake. The design subtly incorporates the city's temperament and cultural life, creating a space that is not just a sales office, but also a bookstore, an art museum, and a literary gathering place. This multifunctional space caters to the social and psychological needs of the community, making it a unique addition to the city's landscape.

What sets Sishuo apart from other designs is its core focus on natural culture, art, and international oriental culture. The project employs boat-shaped marble to create a moody space, reminiscent of walking into an ink and landscape painting. This design element is a contemporary reflection of the surrounding atmosphere, both inside and outside the space.

The technical realization of the Sishuo design is a testament to Kewei Wang's innovative approach. A notable feature is the installation titled "Thinking - Exploring", located in the middle of the space. This installation reflects the relationship between landscape and humanities, echoing the heritage of poetry and ancient paintings. Furthermore, the introduction of a huge halo device inside the ark adds a dynamic element to the space, with the sky light and penetration creating a play of light and shadow.

The design process of Sishuo was meticulous and comprehensive. After the contract was signed, construction drawings were initiated, followed by the design program book. Subsequently, the soft/hard furnishing program was carried out, and if necessary, the collection list and effect drawings were produced. The content was then integrated and transferred to Party A.

Despite the challenges faced during the design process, such as creating a space that not only met structural requirements but also had the ability to carry power transmission and communicate information seamlessly, Kewei Wang successfully overcame these hurdles. The result is a space that is not only aesthetically pleasing but also functional and efficient.

In conclusion, Sishuo is a testament to the power of design in enhancing social values and promoting continuous societal progress. This project serves as a reminder that design and society are intertwined, influencing and promoting each other in a spiraling upward trend. With its unique blend of art, culture, and nature, Sishuo is a shining example of innovative and thoughtful design.
